Say No to Gaming in Jackson County

I was relieved to learn that Governor Haley Barbour does not want to increase gaming in Mississippi according to a recent article in the MS. Press.

How many times must the residents of Jackson County say NO to gaming; before the pro-gaming forces get the messages. We do not want gaming in our county?

And this would be even worse then the casinos Harrison and Hancock County already have an overabundance of.

  1. This would be an INLAND casino exempt from state gaming laws, as it would be run by the Choctaws.
  2. The property and the income would be tax-exempt.
  3. The well paying jobs would be given to Choctaws, leaving the low paying jobs for the current residents of Jackson County (Just travel to Philadelphia and visit their current casino to see for yourselves).

They opened up the door to casinos along time ago. Now live in your mistake.
"This would be an INLAND casino exempt from state gaming laws, as it would be run by the Choctaws." It's that way now is it not?

"The well paying jobs would be given to Choctaws, leaving the low paying jobs for the current residents of Jackson County" If they didn't open the casino, those residents wouldn't have the job any way.
Looks like your mad cause you can't put your duck taped hand in the money pool and that bugs you to death. I worked in the casinos for 12 years and live near them. Why don't you comment on other disadvantages of having casinos like how they suck up allot of the locals extra income, and the large amounts of money that leave the state?
You made such a pro case to get them in here...you cut your legs off and can't stand up now to tell them they can't open one.

Apparently you are not from down here are you would know that JACKSON COUNTY VOTED NO TO LEGALIZED GAMING.

We do not currently have casinos in our county. THE RESIDENTS OF JACKSON COUNTY DID NOT WANT TAXED AND REGULATED CASINOS, SO WHY ON EARTH WOULD WE WANT AN UNTAXED AND UNREGULATED CHOCTAW CASINO?

Thank you for mentioning more reasons to VOTE NO TO A CHOCTAW CASINO
